Job Summary:
The Center Manager is responsible for the center’s day-to-day operations and coordinating all care delivered to Participants.  This includes oversight of the facility’s operations and systems.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall site leadership and management of all disciplines, including personal care aides, social services assistants, activities and janitorial personnel.
  • Coordinates all Center activities, including care planning and implementation, preparation for the daily interdisciplinary conference calls, other operational meetings, family conferences, and all related follow-ups.
  • Serve as liaison between individual program disciplines, other LIFE-NWPA departments, and community service providers and local community clinical partners.
  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned reports.
  • Participates in management team meetings and serves as a liaison between administration and direct care staff.
  • Controls the Center’s budget, including monthly reviews with Finance.
  • Works with Marketing and Clinical teams to coordinate all activities related to onboarding new Participants.
  • Communicates Participant changes to Team Members.
  • Collaborates with other Center Managers in the development of the IDT Plan of Care.
  • Facilitates the coordination of a 24-hour care delivery.
  • Participates in on-going Quality Initiative training as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The Center Manager has significant management responsibilities.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, coaches and disciplines managers and staff in the Center.
  • Ensures staffing levels are maintained appropriately to provide safe and effective care.
  • Recommends staffing level changes related to strategic planning and budget development.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, Participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Able to function well and provide leadership in a highly team-based environment.
  • Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Must have the cognitive ability to process and perform tasks for Participant safety.
  • Attends and participates in continuing educational programs.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population or willing to participate in extensive training as needed.
  • Possess good organizational, communication and supervisory skills. Able to effectively handle difficult and unusual interpersonal situations.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and move intermittently during working hours.
  • Is subject to lifting, carrying, and supporting Participants.
  • Occasional day and overnight travel to regional training, meetings, and events.

Salary Range:
55,000 To 65,000 Per Year
